Here, the animals face another perilous river crossing, battling strong currents and predators in Kenya’s Maasai Mara. This dramatic spectacle of survival and struggle captivates observers.

As the dry season approaches in October and November, the migration retraces its steps, embarking on the return journey towards the southern Serengeti. So, by covering vast distances, the herds migrate back to the nutrient-rich plains where the cycle began. December marks a resting period in the southern Serengeti as the animals prepare for the upcoming calving season, completing the cyclical journey.
