9 Days: Kilimanjaro Hiking via Northern Circuit Route
Overview
The Northern Circuit Route is the newest and offers some of the most stunning views of Mt. Kilimanjaro nearly 360 degrees of beautiful scenery including the quiet, rarely visited northern slopes. It is the longest route on Kilimanjaro, hence has the most acclimatization time, the highest summit success rate and comes highly recommended by Serengeti Camping Safari. It is also much less crowded than the other Kilimanjaro routes, simply put it as one of the best ways to experience the roof of Africa.
The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the west, beginning with a long drive from Arusha to Londorossi Gate and descending via the Mweka Route to the south. The Northern Circuit Route Kilimanjaro takes about 8-9 days to complete, giving hikers plenty of time to acclimatize to the high altitude, which is why the route boasts a very high success rate.
