4 Days Beauty of Selous National Park

Early in the morning after breakfast the driver will pick you for a stanning game viewing in the Game Reserve. Selous is famous for elephants, other species commonly seen are lions, wild dogs, Cape buffalo, bushbuck, impalas, black rhinoceros, elands, baboons, sable antelopes, zebras, greater kudus, Nile Crocodile and hippopotamus along the banks of the Rufiji River. Picnic lunch will be served in the wilderness before heading back to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight. If you will make it back early from the game drives you will visit the local village for an hour and see how the village people do their daily activities.

Early in the morning after breakfast you will start with early morning walking safari followed by a boat safari with your picnic lunch. Walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for the African wilds. It starts in the morning with a guidance of an armed ranger, takes 3 hours, walking safari will allows you to explore the surrounding area and the smaller flora and fauna often missed on the game drive. It’s an unforgettable experience to walk within such a vast and untamed area of natural reserve. You will then proceed with the boat safari to explore the Rufiji River and its lakes. It’s an ideal trip if you would like to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rufiji River with many hippos, crocodiles, in their natural habitat and beautiful birdlife, the sunset is stunning from the boat. There is nothing quite like the serenity of the river while the sun dips below the horizon. Later you will head to the to your lodge/camp for dinner and an overnight.
