3 Days Mkomazi at its Best

Early in the morning the driver will pick you up from your hotel and start your journey to Mkomazi National Park. Set below the verdant slopes of the spectacular Usambara and Pare Eastern Arc Mountain Ranges and overseen by iconic snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro, Mkomazi is a virgin breathtaking beauty exhibiting unique natural treasures and immense sense of space which adds to the fulfillment high visitor’s enjoyment expectations a much-needed bridge between north circuit and coastal attractions. You will drive through the Arusha Dar es Salaam highway; with good weather you will have a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru on your way. You will arrive in time for an afternoon game drive. Mkomazi National Park is one of the few places where you can see endangered species like black rhino, wild dogs, elephants as well as many other wild animals like buffalos, zebras, eland, giraffes, long necked gerenuk, and hartebeests. It is also an excellent place for bird watching with more than 450 avian species like ostrich, cobalt-chested vulturine guinea-fowl, Eurasian roller, secretary bird, ground hornbill and kori bustard.
