6 Days Amani Nature Reserve, Amboni Caves and Pambani

After breakfast you will begin exploring Amani Nature Reserve, the reserve has exceptional conservation values that include a rain forest, biological diversity, endemic, endangered and threatened flora and fauna, water catchment and soil conservation values. You will start hiking through the dense virgin rainforest and experience the rich and diverse flora and fauna of this eco system considered a biodiversity hotspot with numerous plant and animal species that can only be found here. You will visit the Amani Botanical Gardens which was establish in the 1902 said to be one of the oldest Botanical Gardens in Africa, without forgetting the ethical botanical values for local community. Later you will get a chance to explore the tea farms.

In the morning after breakfast, you will begin your trip heading to the hot caves of Amboni, the caves are close to the city of Tanga on the Indian Ocean. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide and learn more about formation of caves and many other things. You will have your lunch then proceed to historical Pangani coast

In the morning after breakfast, you will proceed with your trip exploring the long history and diverse cultures of the coastal town of Pangani. Take a historical city tour and discover on foot the historical buildings in Pangani, the former slave market, the old port and slave routes. Once a center of Swahili trade with the African mainland, the Pangani is now a forgotten and sleepy place with few memories of days of splendor. The old German administration building still stands behind a colonnade of tall shade trees. And the former prison, painted in a fading ocher red, overlooks the lazy waters of the river. Old houses along the main road provide inhabited examples of colonial and traditional Swahili architecture. As time goes the buildings are slowly crumbling in the monsoon winds.

On this day you will go off for snorkeling have fun, lunch will be served. When you get back from you will have a massage for 60 minutes.

In the morning you will drive back to Moshi or Arusha for other adventures or drive to Dar es Salaam to catch your flight.
